ABOUT COLLEGE

 

Based on the principles of excellence and 'caring wisdom, Ramkumari College of Veterinary Sciences managed by Prof. S. Karan Shiksha Samiti, is one the pioneer of private veterinary institutions in India.

Ramkumari College of Veterinary Sciences (RCVS), located in the Mukundgarh Mandi, Haritage Area, has a picturesque beauty. The premises of college are spread over an area of 35 acres of land, situated on Jaipur-Pilani State highway No.85, The college is about 127 kms towards Jaipur, from the Jhunjhunu district headquarter along with a large Livestock Farm Complex spread over several acres. RCVS has started B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree this year, 2025, with the permission of Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS).

Ramkuman College of Veterinary Science aims to extend the scope of learning through a holistic approach that accommodates diverse linguistic, scientific and cultural traditions.

The college has started its first academic session of B.V.Sc. & A.H. with 80 students in its first batch. Since 2019 the college has been relentlessly working to achieve its motto, by virtue of which till date four batches of students have completed their Veterinary diploma and are engaged in various sectors. The RCVS will maintain highest standard in B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree program by providing best training program through highly qualified faculty. Given the tradition of teaching excellence and training that RCVS has developed and enhanced in a short span of time, it is well poised to continue on its path of enviable growth and success through its B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree program.

The college has made faster progress in developing infrastructure and teaching facilities and has always maintained the high profile for imparting veterinary education. The college is strictly following the guidelines of Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education regulation (MSVE-2016), of Veterinary Council of India., New Delhi. The main campus building provides an excellent study environment, social space and good facilities. The laboratories are well equipped; the library is spacious, well-furnished and maintaining good number of both text and reference books, and journals. The hands on trainings, in Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC) to students for treating the indoor and outdoor patients are of very high standard. Practical training in livestock management and production, that includes training in fodder production is performed in Livestock farm complex (LFC). On LFC is maintaining about 10 species of animals and birds, huge agricultural land having varies of fodders is able to provide adequate knowledge and practical education to the students making them more confident on the student.

Adequately qualified and skilled teaching faculty, spacious and well-ventilated lecture halls with latest teaching aids, modern means of communications, well-furnished hostels for boys and girls, play grounds, buses, 24 hours electricity and water supply facility and lush green lawns are the salient features of this college.

 

 


LOCATION AND CLIMATE


The Ramkumari College of Veterinary Science (RCVS) is located in Mukundgarh city, District Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. Mukundgarh is well connected by road and rail to nearby cities like Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu and Jaipur. The nearest airport is Jaipur International Airport, about 150 km away.

The climate of this region is arid and semi–arid for most part of the year. Rajasthan has a geographical area of 342,239 sq km that supports 74.79 million humans and 57.73 million livestock population, besides 80.24 million poultry birds. More than 55% of the land area is desert with rain-fed crops.

Livestock plays a vital role in sustaining and boosting the rural economy of Rajasthan. The state is rich in native breeds of cattle, equines, sheep, goats, and camels, and contributes nearly 35% high-quality germplasm to the national pool.

Mukundgarh is not only a growing educational hub but is also culturally and historically significant, located in the heart of Shekhawati region, which is world-famous for its fresco paintings, havelis and heritage tourism.

Road Facilities

Mukundgarh is easily accessible by road. It is well connected with nearby major cities such as Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu and Jaipur through state highways and national highways. Regular bus and taxi services are available from these cities to Mukundgarh.

Rail

Mukundgarh has its own railway station which connects it to nearby districts and towns. In addition, Sikar and Jhunjhunu railway stations provide better connectivity with major cities like Delhi, Jaipur, Bikaner and other parts of India.

Air

The nearest airport is Jaipur International Airport, located about 150 km from Mukundgarh. From the airport, one can easily reach Mukundgarh by road or rail transport.
